Because she was standing right in front of him. She asked Lee Hoyeol if he was wondering about the dead girl. The demon mentioned that Baek Yiseol was already dead and explained that she stabbed herself like a crazy person.
She explained that the girl could have died from the shock because she could not feel her anymore either. The demon asked Lee Hoyeol what he expected from a crazy person like Baek Yiseol.
She believed that Baek Yiseol was naive for thinking that she could do something to her. Lee Hoyeol could not believe that Baek Yiseol was already dead.
The demon told Lee Hoyeol that Baek Yiseol died because of him. Lee Hoyeol explained that Baek Yiseol kept spouting nonsense and told her that Lee Hoyeol was the only one who could see her.
Lee Hoyeol remembered that an article came out about Baek Yiseol’s father’s scandal when she was eight years old.
Baek Yiseol did not have to do anything for the media to pay attention to her, she got bullied in school and in the neighborhood.

The demon informed Lee Hoyeol that Baek Yiseol had told her she was going to pay him since he believed in her. The demon told him Baek Yiseol did all of that for nothing.
Lee Hoyeol told the demon to shut her mouth. The demon told Lee Hoyeol how he could dare talk to her like that. When he was a mere demon, and warned him that he was quite arrogant.
The demon sensed that Lee Hoyeol was quite intimidating. Lee Hoyeol suddenly found himself in an unknown place. He believed that it happened because he accidentally activated an exorcism ritual.
He was confused about how it happened because there was no sacrifice. Lee Hoyeol spotted Grandfell in the crowd and realized that it was Grandfell’s mind realm.
All of a sudden, Lee Hoyeol’s chest started hurting, it felt as if someone was squeezing it. Lee Hoyeol saw Grandfell’s story and realized it was his memory.
Lee Hoyeol finally figured out that was how Grandfell felt in the past, he was feeling the same way because of their synchronization.
