Erna’s birthday is right around the corner, and the fans of this manhwa are excited to see what Björn will do this time, as he has promised to look after Erna from now on.

Björn has consistently shown a change in his personality as he got to know Erna. Björn is currently out hunting with the Princes of Felia. Will he be able to make it back before Erna’s birthday? Find out in The Problematic Prince Chapter 55! 

The Problematic Prince Chapter 54 opens up with Erna asking Björn about his plan to go out hunting with the princes from Felia.

Björn says that he already told Erna about his plans, but she argues that this is the first time she has heard about it. Erna feels a bit sad because the next day is her birthday, but  Björn is still going out hunting on that day.

Erna wonders if Björn forgot about his promise. Erna then asks Björn when he’ll be back, and he replies that he’ll most likely return before lunchtime. Erna thinks that all of the events Björn attended during their trip were solely because of his duty, so she shouldn’t nag him because of it.

Erna then notices that Björn is smiling, and he’s even paying more attention to what she’s saying; it is as if he truly considers her as his beloved lover.

Thinking about the compassion shown by Björn, Erna becomes sure that he has not forgotten about his promise. She convinces herself that Björn is only going hunting because of his duty and so she can just celebrate her birthday with him when he returns.

Suddenly a servant arrives in the room with an important letter for Björn. Björn takes a look at the letter and then signs it. Erna also notices the letter, and she gets an idea from it. She tells Björn that she wants something from him, and Björn readily agrees because Erna rarely asks for anything from him.

Erna says that she wants Björn to write her a letter after he goes out hunting. Erna further adds that Björn’s letter would be the most beautiful thing for her and so she will treasure it forever. Björn gets up from his seat and tells Erna that if she wants him to say something, then she can just ask for it.

Erna says that written words hold more value than spoken ones, but Björn argues that they meet every day, so there’s no need for letters. Erna still tries to argue with Björn, but he simply kisses her to make her go silent. Erna felt a little embarrassed because Björn acted as if he was an adult scolding a kid for her tantrums.

Björn looked at Erna as if he was watching a cute kid, and then he walked away towards the carriage waiting for him outside the house. Erna stood outside and watched the carriage until it disappeared from her sight, but she still didn’t wave at it because her pride didn’t allow her to do so.

After a while, Björn finally arrives at the hunting location with the Princes of Felia. The two princes ride the horses alongside Björn and swiftly make their way through the forest while shooting random animals for fun.

One of the princes exclaims that they were planning on visiting Schuber during spring but they are still happy to meet Prince Björn before that.

Björn realizes that the Prince is about to reveal his true intentions, and so he throws in some compliments to ease the mood.

Björn tells Prince Maxim that he feels honored to be hunting with such great shooters. Maxim gets a little embarrassed because he only hunted a few animals, which wouldn’t make him a great shooter.

Maxim asks Björn if he’s the one leading the bond issue negotiations between the two nations. The other Prince gets furious because he feels as if he’s begging for something, but he still needs to do that to be able to gain access to Lechen’s Fund, which would help them get rid of Felia’s Fiscal deficit.

Björn tells Maxim that it’s the finance minister’s job to lead the negotiations, and he’s just enjoying his honeymoon at the moment. Björn then asks the Felia Prince about the Royal Family’s compulsory conversion of the government bond interest rate.

Suddenly a baby deer comes in front of Björn. The Felia Prince refrains from shooting because he wants Björn to shoot the deer, but Björn refuses to do so.

Maxim asks Björn why he didn’t shoot the deer and so Björn replies that it was cute. Björn’s reply leaves the princes shocked as Björn is known as “the mad dog of Lechlen,” and he’s calling something cute.
