If you’re wondering how Dan and Shay will fit into the dynamic of the program, we received a sneak peek of their double-chair, which depicts them using a button and some coded hand gestures to share decisions. RV resident Dani Stacy was the first to go through blind auditions.

She wanted to join a team so that a coach could help her “discover who [she] even more as a singer.” When Dani arrived on stage with her guitar to perform “I Will Survive,” she received full turns from John, Chance, Reba, and Dan + Shay.

However, Chance used a block to keep Dani from selecting Reba. Reba told Dani that she’s “spectacular” and that she enjoys that she can hear a variety of genres in her voice, even though she was blocked. Chance found her performance to be “poised” and “so connected,” and he wants to look into her “different influences.”

identical twins Next on stage were Justin and Jeremy Garcia, who were mostly aiming to impress Reba or Dan and Shay with their rendition of “Story of My Life” audition. Very early in their performance, Chance pressed a button, only to be questioned by Reba, followed by an enthusiastic Shay and a reticent Dan.

Shay described it as “fantastic” and mentioned that he immediately thought they should switch it up to a pair with duo after hearing the harmonizing. Chance cited his collaborations with sisters, noting their success in resolving and improving minor pitch problems. John informed them he felt it “could have been a little tighter,” so he didn’t turn around.
