Toei Animation has released a new trailer and visual for the Dragon Ball Daima anime, set to premiere in October on Fuji TV. The title “Daima,” while not directly translatable, has kanji that can be interpreted as “Evil” in English, hinting at possible thematic elements in the new series.
The Dragon Ball Super television series, which premiered in July 2015, ran for 131 episodes until March 2018. It was streamed by Funimation and Crunchyroll during its broadcast and later released on home video by Funimation.
The franchise continued with the Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero anime film, which debuted in Japan in June 2022 and in the United States in August 2022. The film was screened in theaters worldwide through a collaboration between Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures.
