TWICE’s Jihyo and Yun Sung Bin: Agencies Offer Brief Response to Dating Speculations

Jihyo of TWICE breaks social media silence with photo updates amidst dating rumours.

In response to recent speculations surrounding the alleged romantic involvement between TWICE’s Jihyo and former skeleton athlete Yun Sung Bin, both celebrities’ agencies have issued official statements addressing the matter.

The dating rumours surfaced on March 25 when a Korean media outlet reported that Jihyo and Yun Sung Bin, initially introduced through mutual acquaintances, had developed a close bond over shared interests, particularly their dedication to physical fitness, and had been romantically involved for approximately a year.

JYP Entertainment, representing Jihyo, issued a concise statement regarding the matter, acknowledging the report while emphasizing the personal nature of the issue. The agency stated, “It is difficult to confirm as it is [the artist’s] personal matter. We ask for your understanding,” refraining from further elaboration.

The agency stated, “As he is no longer an active athlete, we do not manage his personal life. It is difficult to confirm,” indicating a hands-off approach to Yun Sung Bin’s personal affairs.

Born in 1997, Jihyo rose to prominence as a member of the internationally acclaimed girl group TWICE, making her debut in 2015. Last year, she ventured into the realm of solo music with her debut album “Killin’ Me Good,” showcasing her versatility as an artist.

Yun Sung Bin, born in 1994, made history as the first Asian gold medalist in skeleton at the 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, garnering widespread recognition for his remarkable achievement. Following his retirement from competitive sports, he has transitioned into the entertainment industry, actively engaging with audiences through various platforms, including his own YouTube channel.
