During a broadcast, Tao criticized JYP Entertainment for what she views as disparities in Tzuyu’s treatment compared to her fellow TWICE members. Despite these challenges, Tao revealed that Tzuyu remains committed to TWICE and her fellow members, even amidst contract renewal discussions in 2022. Tao emphasized Tzuyu’s dedication and willingness to consider the group’s interests, despite potential ramifications for her solo career.

Tao also raised questions regarding the lack of formal apology towards Tzuyu following the controversy surrounding Jihyo’s promotional video. While the production team issued an apology to fans and deleted the video, Tao expressed disappointment that no direct apology was extended to Tzuyu, questioning the motives behind the video’s creation and approval process.
