The latest season of Tyler Perry’s Sistas appears to be getting better with each episode, especially after last week’s shocking conclusion. Even though Andi isn’t aware of what happened with Penelope and Gary, Danni goes to therapy to address her issues.
The personal and professional lives of powerful Atlantan women are the subject of BET’s Sistas series. Every other week, these friends get together to discuss life and offer support to one another when they face challenges that seem insurmountable.
Though some might not agree, the writing becomes better as the season goes on. The time leap was a little problematic in the first few episodes, but they got better.
A growing amount of tension is present as Gary loses control. This episode sows the seeds and tests every connection, including Zatima’s, as the sequences for the next episode demonstrate. Let’s look at what happened this week after episode five, which was overall another excellent show.

At the start of the show, Zac asks Karen to take a DNA test. Karen is offended and wants him to go. That’s when Trey steps in. Zac feels that something is about to happen because Karen’s “new man” is getting more interested.
While Miss Lisa keeps things in order and gets Zac out, Trey gives Karen a bottle of water. A little tipsy on alcohol, Danni makes a toast and regrets pressuring Zac to have a DNA test.
Zac tells Fatima everything that transpired with Karen when he gets home. She says Karen won’t get any money from Zac until they get a paternity test.
Miss Lisa gives Karen a little loan, but she also wants to know what her fallback plan is in case things at the salon don’t work out. She pushes Karen to get the DNA test so that cost won’t be a barrier. That’s so she could get money from Zac.
It was inappropriate for Zac to request a DNA test from Karen at this time, and Andi tells Fatima at the workplace that he cannot afford to see Trey before their custody trial.
In the meantime, Jordan’s political campaign is progressing, and Gary is losing. He’s planning with his hacker to release a tale online.
When Andi asks Hayden if Jordan has any unclean records, Hayden tells Gary about it over the phone. When Hayden senses that Gary is about to fabricate evidence against Jordan, he becomes alarmed and cautions him not to allow things to go out of control.
Later, when Jordan and Andi go out to eat, Andi questions Jordan about any prior wrongdoings. Gary, who smells coke and spirals lower, is watching them when they leave.
We find out that Danni ended up with the wrong guy at her next therapy session. She describes running him over in passing when she tells her therapist about the issue involving Preston and Jonah. We discover information regarding a past violent relationship throughout the consultation.
After her therapy session, Danni starts acting strangely around Tony at work. He begs her not to ignore him. She begs him to come over to her apartment after expressing a desire for privacy.
