Companion Company, the agency representing VIXX’s Hyuk, has officially announced his impending military enlistment. On April 18, Hyuk will join the ranks of those serving their country at the recruit training centre, marking the beginning of his alternative service.

In addition to the announcement, Companion Company shared the following letter written by Hyuk to Starlights:

Hello, Starlights!

This is VIXX’s maknae (youngest member) Hyuk.

First of all, I will be enlisting on April 18 to fulfill my military service. You all must have been very shocked.

I was flustered because I think you all came across the information suddenly through a news article, and I felt saddened that our Starlights were probably more upset and shocked…

Until the fan concert, I wanted to maximize the heart-fluttering and happy moments while talking about the concert together, but I’m upset because I don’t think I was able to do so.

However, we still have the Home party, and we still have some time left, so let’s make lots of good memories before I leave.

I’m well aware of your concerns and your support, so I will return in good health as VIXX’s Hyuk and Han Sang Hyuk who has matured both mentally and physically.

So please send messages of support or how you are doing from time to time while in good health, okay?

As the youngest member of VIXX, born in 1995, Hyuk’s enlistment signifies the culmination of the group’s military service obligations. His decision to fulfil his duty reflects a commitment to his country and his personal growth.
