While not much is known about Jemima Goldsmith’s partner, the filmmaker has opened up about her personal life while saying how she believes that an arranged marriage could have saved her a lot of heartache and headaches if she just had someone to sort it out for her. Jemima further added that she is someone who did the absolute opposite.
Goldsmith has been previously romantically linked with some of the leading men of the entertainment industry including Hugh Grant and Russell Brand. In an early interview, Jemima stated that there had never been a non-arranged marriage in his entire family history, and they were the only love marriage and also the only divorce. Jemima recalled how she used to live in her ex-husband’s extended family set-up, and that they had a house which she shared with her ex-husband’s sisters, their husbands, their kids, her kids, and his father.
The filmmaker further recalled how she got to see old-school arranged marriages and the newer form, which everyone used to call assisted marriage and that it challenged some of the preconceptions that she went there with.
Jemima has admitted that she does not subscribe to the idea of the arranged marriage candidate and how it is presented in most films that touch on this subject. She has also admitted that she thinks maybe there is part of herself that feels that she doesn’t recognize that person, Jemima Goldsmith.
