MBC’s thriller drama Wonderful World stars Kim Nam Joo and Cha Eun Woo as the protagonists. Once a renowned psychology professor and acclaimed writer, Eun Soo Hyun’s life takes a tragic turn when her young son dies unjustly, and the responsible party goes unpunished by the law.
Overwhelmed by grief and disillusioned with the world, Eun Soo Hyun decides to take matters into her own hands to seek justice for her son’s death. This leads Soo Hyun to be arrested for her crimes and be sent to jail for a long time.
Despite dealing with ongoing pain and despair, she finds herself drawn into the lives of others who share similar experiences of suffering. Together, they embark on a journey to deal with mysterious cases and find solace in the healing process.
In Episode 2, Eun Soo-Hyun gets arrested for defending her son’s memory and gets a seven-year prison sentence. Her husband vows to help her, while news anchor Kang Soo-Ho loses his job for supporting her on air.

In jail, Eun Soo-Hyun receives supportive letters while Kang Soo-Ho gathers evidence on the killer driver. He discovers tampered evidence and obtains CCTV footage from a bar. Eun Soo-Hyun gets injured in jail and reminisces about her son’s disappearance while talking to her mother in the hospital. Kang Soo-Ho links the killer to Kim Joon and meets him.
Kang Soo-Ho exposes Kim Joon’s corrupt actions, and Eun Soo-Hyun adjusts to life in prison. Kang Soo-Ho’s departure for the United States leads to an emotional farewell with Eun Soo-Hyun, who encourages him to move forward. Years later, Eun Soo-Hyun hears a fellow inmate’s tragic story of causing a fatal fire.
Three years later, Kim Joon runs for president, using gossip to undermine other candidates. He enlists Kwon Sun-Yool to gather damaging information. After Eun Soo-Hyun’s release, she visits her son’s grave alone, where Kwon Sun-Yool joins her, offering an umbrella in the rain.

Wonderful World Episode 3 Spoilers
Now that Soo Hyun and Seon Yool have met, they’ll probably cross paths more often. Soo Hyun’s release from prison has only deepened her pain after so many years. Her main goal now is to find other survivors of similar incidents and share their pain too.
Although they’re still unfamiliar with each other, Soo Hyun and Seon Yool are likely to uncover each other’s identities eventually. This adds a lot of suspense and intrigue to the plot of Wonderful World.
