(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi is preparing for her official solo debut! Cube Entertainment announced on March 22 that Yuqi will debut solo next month. The agency confirmed,

“Yuqi will release a solo song in April, and she plans to promote it on music shows.”

The exact release date hasn’t been disclosed yet, but Yuqi aims for a late April release. Though Yuqi has previously released solo songs, this debut marks her first official promotion as a solo artist.

About (G)I-DLE’s Yuqi

She is currently active as a soloist in China and is a member of the South Korean girl group (G)I-dle, which made its debut in 2018. Since 2019, she has been a cast member of the Chinese variety show Keep Running and served as the host of the KakaoTV reality show Learn Way from 2020 to 2021.

On January 29, 2024, (G)I-dle released it’s second studio album 2. Yuqi contributed as a co-writer and co-composer for the tracks “Doll” and “Rollie”. On February 27, she released “Play,” a special track featured in the tvN series Marry My Husband.
